He was born on July 30, 1928 the son of the late Elmer and Marie Grasse Truttschel.
Royce attended Bethlehem Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1946.
He was a United State Navy Veteran, serving his country from June of 1946 to April of 1948.
He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and VFW Post 9156. Royce enjoyed golfing, bowling and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his son, John (Peggy) Truttschel, of Sheboygan; two grandsons, Aaron Truttschel, of Madison, Nolan Truttschel, of Milwaukee; a special brother-in-law, Ralph (Daniela) Dottai, of Sheboygan and by his aunt, Dorothy Grasse, of Sheboygan. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Royce was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joan Dottai.
A funeral service for Royce will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1121 Georgia Ave., Sheboygan. Burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery.
