Mrs. Juanita Rose (Graskemper) Abramovitz, 69, of Monett, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Cox Monett. She was born January 6, 1941 to John and Rose (Wicker) Graskemper in Newton County, Mo. She was united in marriage to Chris Abramowitz on August 20, 1960 with whom she recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.
Juanita was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, homemaker and retired dairy farmer who loved to mow the yard, work in the garden and cook for her family. We will miss all of her love, kindness and generosity.
She is survived by her husband Chris along with two sons: Mark Abramowitz and his wife Terry Elwing of Columbia, Mo and Harold Abramovitz of Monett, Mo; one daughter: Janice and her husband Rick Pierce of Monett, Mo; nine grandchildren: Sabrina and Brianne Abramovitz of Columbia, Stefanie and Trenton Pierce of Monett and Alex, Holly, Wesley, Kristen and Cassity Abramovitz of Monett; two sisters: Lenore Wagner of Sarcoxie and Loretta Rosewicz of Joplin; three brothers: Raymond Graskemper of Warsaw, Mo, Paul Graskemper of Joplin and Robert Graskemper of Sarcoxie.
Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Visitation will follow until 8:00p.m. Services will be held 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pulaskifield, Mo . Burial will follow at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
