Mrs. Anna K. Brumbaugh, wife of Dr. Martin G. Brumbaugh, Superintendent of Schools of this city, and Republican nominee for Governor, died at her home 254 West Walnut lane, Germantown, early yesterday morning, following an illness of six weeks.

Mrs. Brumbaugh, whose maiden name was Anna Konigmacher, was born at Ephrata, Lancaster county, on March 30 1861. She was the daughter of Edwin and Lydia Konigmacher. Her father was a pharmacist, and her grandfather, Jacob Konigmacher, a physician, built the Lancaster County Court House. While a student at Juniata College., ion 1883, she met her future husband, then an instructor at the college. They were married the following year.

Mrs. Brumbaugh was a woman of the simplest taste, and rarely participated in social affairs. She was active in church work, as a member of the congregation of the Church of the Brethren, and was secretary of the Board of Managers of the Home for the Aged, 1809 Mt. Vernon street. In addition to George Brumbaugh, a son, who is an architect, and a daughter, Miss Mabel Brumbaugh, an instructor of a Friends' school of this city, there is in the Brumbaugh family, Miss Flora Parks, a ward of Dr. and Mrs. Brumbaugh, who when left an orphan twenty years ago was taken into the family."
