Ed Matchett, 79, a Brookfield native, died yesterday morning at a Chillicothe Hospital.
Mr. Matchett was born in Brookfield and on Dec. 30, 1914, he married Miss Cora Conger in Linneus. The couple spent most of their lives farming in the Hale area.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Austin Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, with the Rev. Robert Gant officiating. Burial will be in Cameron Cemetery, near Hale.
Survivors include his widow of the home; five sons, including Walter of Brookfield; six daughters, a brother, 27 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
