Laurence was the son of Alexander Muirbrook and Serena Matilda White Muirbrook. He married marcella Ann Thompson February 25, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had eight children. Two sets of twins. Laurence was a farmer and dairyman. Laurence and his oldest son Robert established Muirbrook Farms, Inc. in West Warren, Utah. He was a member of the West Warren LDS Ward where he served in the Branch Presidency and and spent nine plus years as Bishop. He also served on the High Council of the North Weber Stake, where he had lived all his life, with the exception of one year which he spent in California during which he graduated from high school. Laurence had served on the board of directors of the Weber County Beet Growers Association for many years. He had been president, director and water master of the Warren Irrigation Co. He served on the Soil Conservation Committee Board and was active in the Farm Bureau and in other local community activities. Laurence was killed by a bull.
