Dane E. Huxley

Mr. Dane E. Huxley, age 81, passed away in Springfield, Mo., Sunday, October 24th, 2010. Mr. Huxley was born on November 12, 1928 in Springfield, Mo.
He attended Springfield High School and State Teachers College (SMS). He was employed as Manager for the State of Missouri, Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company. He retired after 35 years of service in the insurance business. He was a member of the President's Council and remained so well into retirement.
Dane was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Louise Huxley and his wife Marjorie Edwards Huxley.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Dana L. Huxley (Mitch Bolen), Cheri L. Huxley, Sandy Whitten (Eddie), a son Mark S. Huxley (Jennifer), and two stepchildren, Jeff Miller and Patty Miller. He was a loving and generous father, who will be dearly missed. Dane is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and five greath-grandsons, as well as other relatives and close friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010, 10 A.M. in Greenlawn East Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery immediately following service. Visitation will be Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 6-8 P.M. at Greenlawn East.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Shriner's Childrens Hospital, American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
