Funeral services for Alvin J. LaShomb, 41, former Massena resident, will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at Sacred Heart Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
The body is at the Regan Funeral Chapel with calling hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9.
Mr. LaShomb, a computer techinician died unexpectedly Friday, June 13,1975, in Calahan, Fla.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eileen Johnson LaShomb; four sons, Guy, John, Kevin and James LaShomb, and two daughters, Maureen and Kathleen LaShomb, all in Beacon, N.Y.; his mother, Mrs. Phoebe Derouchie LaShomb, Douglas Rd.; four brothers,
Floyd and Thomas LaShomb, both of Norfolk, Wallace LaShomb, Fort Covington, and Leland LaShomb, Kirkville.
His father, Leland T. LaShomb died Oct. .25, 1974, at the age of 70 years.
Mr. LaShomb was born in Massena Mar.30, 1934, attended Massena High School and enlisted in the U.S.Army May 10, 1950 for a three year tour of duty. In late 1952, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and was stationed with the 96th Machine records Unit in Korea, attached to the Eighth Army Headquarters. He had also spent some time in Tokyo in the Far East Command.
