Mrs. Diller went to be with the Lord she loved at 10:15 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008 at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora, OH.
Alice was born on March 27, 1932 in Leipsic to Ross Foster and Dorothy Wiley Baer, and they are both deceased. She married Dean A. Diller on September 1, 1951, and he survives in Columbus Grove, OH.
Also surviving are three sons, Dwight (Karen) Diller, Riley, KS; Kent (Tammy) Diller, Pandora, OH; and Jeff (Alisa) Diller, Pandora, OH; three daughters, Paula (Andrea) Diller Northwood, St. Paul, MN; Connie (Kent) Arthur, Pandora, OH; and Diane (Ed) Basinger, Columbus Grove, OH; a daughter-in-law, Karen Diller, Columbus Grove, OH; 21 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vivian Hart, Dayton, OH; and Mary Nickolson, Carefree, AZ; and a sister-in-law, Betty Baer, Napoleon, OH.
Preceding her in death are a son, Mark Diller; and a brother, Elwin "Sonny" Baer.
Alice was a homemaker, a food supervisor at Echo Ranch Bible Camp in Juneau, AK, a teacher's aid and bus driver at Pandora-Gilboa Schools and a nurse's aid at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.
She was a member of the Gideon's Auxiliary for 37 years; a member of St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora and its Women's Prayer Fellowship. Alice was a 1950 graduate of Leipsic High School and attended Bowling Green State University.
Alice lives on in the lives of those who knew her and learned from her gentle love and kind spirit. Her faith served as a cornerstone of her life. She loved her family and friends and her love of laughter and compassionate wisdom touched and shaped our lives. Her place in heaven is now secure but her spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
