MOCKSVILLE - Kathleen Coulter Hampton October 22, 1938 - October 24, 2010 Kathleen Coulter Hampton, age 72, of 223 Joy Trail, Mocksville, died Sunday, October 24, 2010, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Mrs. Hampton was born October 22, 1938 in Crossett, Arkansas, a daughter of the late James Frank Coulter and Venna Camp Coulter. She was a homemaker and attended the Church of Christ. Mrs. Hampton is survived by three sons, Jerry Lee Hampton and wife Paula of Ingleside, Texas, Jordan Russell Hampton, Jr. and wife Karen of Yadkinville, and James Frank Hampton and wife Jill of Tampa, Florida; one daughter, Tammy R. Bowers and husband Darren of Mocksville; six grandsons, Brandon Kyle Hampton of Ingleside, Texas, Larry McDonald of Yadkinville, Brian Russell Hampton of Corpus Christi, Texas, Robert Christopher Tijerina of Mocksville, Kyle James Hampton, and Jordan Russell Hampton, both of Tampa, Florida; four granddaughters, Helen Lee Ann Hampton of Ingleside, Texas, Jillian Marie Hampton of Tampa, Florida, Tiffany Nicole Tijerina, and Kayla Renae Bolin and husband David, all of Mocksville, and Candice Nicole Terrell of Yadkinville; one great-grandson, Brandon McDonald of Yadkinville, and two brothers, Norman N. Coulter of New Branfels, Texas, and Charles F. Coulter of Aransas Pass, Texas. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jordan Russell "J.R." Hampton; one son, Dennis Hampton; one sister, Barbara Jean Coulter, and two brothers, Jake and Earnest Coulter. Funeral services for Kathleen Coulter Hampton will be conducted Friday afternoon, October 29, 2010, at 1:00 o'clock, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. The body will lie in state, at the chapel, from 12:00 until 1:00 o'clock. Officiating will be Mr. Brian R. Hampton. Burial will follow in the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock, at Hampton Funeral Service.
