Evelyn L. Heagy, 88, LeRoy, passed away at 11 a.m. Monday (Oct. 25, 2010) at LeRoy Manor, LeRoy.

She was born Jan. 19, 1922 in Deer Creek, daughter of Louie and Esther Rich Schertz. She married Paul W. Heagy on Dec. 19, 1942 in Delavan. He survives in LeRoy.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Shauna Murphy, Carterville; Glynn (Cristin) Murphy, St. Paul, Minnesota and Michael Murphy, East Peoria; one brother, David (Doris) Schertz, Lombard and one son-in-law, Brad (Sue) Murphy, East Peoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Elaine Heagy Murphy and two brothers, Earl and Howard Schertz.
