Mrs. C.L. Armstrong Dies in Fresno Home

Sanger friends of Dr. and Mrs. C.L. Armstrong were deeply grieved this
morning to learn of the passing of Mrs. Armstrong at the family home at 4914
Illinois street in the Sierra Vista addition, Fresno where they moved last
April following a residence here since 1925.

Mrs. Armstrong had suffered a long illness and had spent the summer in the
mountains in the hope that the bracing mountain air might restore her health.
Her condition has been critical for several months.

Her death occurred at 2:40 a.m. this Thursday. The body was brought to the
Cain parlors here where it will remain until Dr. Armstrong and his mother can
complete arrangements to accompany the remains to the present family home in
Bovina, Texas, probably Friday evening or Saturday. No services will be held
in Sanger.

Mrs. Armstrong was a native of Jonesboro, Pennsylvania. Her young womanhood
was spent in Texas where she was a teacher. At the time of her death she was
32 years old.

Her marriage to Dr. Armstrong took place October 12, 1925, in Texas following
which they took up their residence here where Dr. Armstrong had been practicing
since 1923.

Besides her grief stricken husband she leaves a small son, Vern Irl, aged
eleven months.

She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Tidenburg, of Bovina,
Texas, and the following sisters and brothers, Mrs. Frank Hastings, Miss Ella
Tidenberg and Hilary Tidenberg, Bovina, Texas; Mrs. M.H. Porth, Huntsville,
Missouri; Mrs. Carl Porth, Winfield, Kansas, and Chas. Tidenberg, Doretta, New
Mexico.

Two years ago Mrs. Armstrong enjoyed the summer at a happy reunion with these
relatives.

With her as the time of her death was her husband's mother, Mrs. J.L.
Armstrong, of Panhandle, Texas, who has been with her son and family for the
past month. Mrs. John Bryant of Sanger was also assisting with the care of the
patient.

The many Sanger friends extend sympathy to the bereaved family.
