Michael Thomas Livengood, 58, of Blue Ridge, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 19, 2004. He was a retired president of Woodson Pontiac and Rick Woodson Honda. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Special Forces serving in Korea. He was a member of the Alpha Kappa Phi Fraternity of National Business College and a member of the Rainbow Forest Baptist Church. Mr. Livengood was preceded in death by his father, Charlie W. Livengood of Martinsville. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and Christian. He showed strength, courage and compassion for all. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Linda Clarke Livengood; daughter, Tonya Livengood Cox and husband, Troy Eugene Cox, of Blue Ridge; sons, Charles Clarke Livengood and wife, Kristie Livengood, of Durham, N.C., James Michael Livengood of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three grandchildren, Nathan Clay Cox, Easton Bryanna Cox and Caroline Grace Livengood; granddog, Deacon; his mother, Mozelle Livengood of Martinsville; sisters, Mary Frances Arnold, Norma Jean Joyce and Carolyn Foley; brother, C.W. Livengood, Jr., all of Martinsville; and a great number of loving family members. Funeral services will be at the Rainbow Forest Baptist Church 11 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2004 with the Rev. Michael Grooms and the Rev. Doc Scoggins officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 554, Roanoke, Va. 24003, or The Children's Miracle Network. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday at Oakey's East Chapel
