Joseph T. Thompson
Funeral services for Joseph T. Thompson, 61, of Spicer were held Dec, 31 at the Green Lake Lutheran Church of Spicer with the Rev. Leslie Galland officiating.
Vocalists were Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Sand, and the organist was Mrs. Austin Jacobson.
Pallbearers were Chester Jacobson, Reuben Jacobson, Raynold Carlson, Austin Jacobson, Bert Jacobson and Gordon Carlson. Interment was in Green Lake Cemetery. A military escort was provided by Henderson-Lewis Post No. 545 of Spicer.
Joseph T. Thompson was born Jan. 7, 1909 to Thomas and Melina Thompson. He served in World War ll from April of 1942 until October of 1945. He was employed as a carpenter foreman for Western Fruit Express Company for several years.
He died Dec. 28 at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Oscar and Martin; and one sister, Mrs. Elmer Monson.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Walter Skoglund, and EIlen Thompson, both of Spicer; and five brothers, Carl and AIbin Thompson of Spicer, EImer of Kandiyohi, William of Atwater, and Newman of Annandale; and several nieces and nephews.
