She was only 14. The Enterprise, a Covington Newspaper, carried the following news item: "On Friday, November 7, 1873, Mis Josie, Daughter of Reverend W.H. Aaron, aged about 14 years died of congenstion of the brain at the home of her brother-in-law, Mr. John J. Moore near Starrsville. On the 5th she was stricken down on Thursday last and remained speechless for several days. She recovered sufficently to speak before her death."
