ALMOND A. GORRIE
Well known Dairy Operator, Dies. - A pioneer, Whatcom County dairy man, Almond A. Gorrie, 77, Rt2, Everston, died at a local hospital Wednesday. He had lived in this county for the past 48 years. MR. Gorrie founded the Cedar Brook Dairy in 1916 and the Blue Ribbon Dairy in Bellingham in 1925. He is survived by two sons, Wallace M. of Rt1, Ferndale and C. S. (Mike) Gorrie of Rt2, Everson, a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Cooke of Vancouver, Washington, four sisters, Mrs Edna Goodner and Mrs Ethel Archibald, both in California, and Mrs Pearl Rothenbuhler and Mrs Irene Rothenbuhler, both of Acme, a brother, Clarence of Saxon, and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Canon E.B.. Smith at 10:30a.m., Monday at the Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Saxon Cemetery.
