Carlos Eugene Wallace, 64, of Summit, died Oct. 15, 2010, at his residence.
He was born in McComb on Feb. 15, 1946. He worked for several years at Kellwood Manufacturing until starting his own painting contractor business. He loved hunting and fishing. He was a longtime member of the Summit Church of Christ.
Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Sumrall and Mae Louise Wallace Sumrall; and his granddaughter, Carla Renee Wallace.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joyce Rippy Wallace; four sons, Dwight Wallace and wife, Kimberly, Carl Leslie Wallace, Jason Wallace and wife, Natalie, and Jeremy Ace Wallace and wife, Jamie; two brothers, Boyd and James Rollins; two half-brothers; five half-sisters; six grandchildren, Jacob, Dakota, Austin, Aiden, Zachary and Cheyenne Wallace; one uncle, David Gibson; and a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dalvis and Bobbie Rawls.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb and Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. at the Summit Church of Christ. Bro. Dick Root will officiate.
Burial will be in the Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery in Summit.
