She was born on July 1, 1954, in Martinsville, Indiana, to the late Harold Leon and Pauline (Warmoth) Owens. She married Steven R. Baire and following a divorce married Dwayne Hogan on December 20, 1986. He survives.
A homemaker, Mrs. Hogan moved to Goshen 24 years ago from Martinsville. She attended Good Shepherd Baptist Academy in Camby, Indiana.
She is survived by her husband, Dwayne; a daughter, Stephanie Baire of New Paris; two step-sons, Troy (Teresa) Hogan of Noblesville and Michael (Tasha) Hogan of Goshen; a granddaughter, Alisha Hunt; a step-grandson, Drew Hogan of Goshen; three sisters, Karen (Junior) Traylor of California, Jackie Hutchinson of Paragon, Indiana and Debbie Carpenter of Martinsville, Indiana; a brother, Bobby (Pat) Owens of Colorado; a step-sister, Shirley Bryan of Martinsville, Indiana; and a step-brother, Kenneth Rice of Eminence, Indiana.
Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, at the funeral home.
An 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Shrock of First Baptist Church, Goshen, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
