She was born June 24, 1922, in New Hampshire, Ohio, to Charles and Gertrude Greene Campbell, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 23, 1938, she married Willard Edward McElroy, who died in 1988.
Mrs. McElroy was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Edward McElroy, Charles James McElroy and Thomas Willard McElroy, all of Lima; six grandchildren, Jacqueline (Greg) Sanders, David (Tonya) McElroy, Steven (Bobbie) McElroy, Susan (Doug) Burch, Randall (Joyce) McElroy and Mark (Kim) McElroy; 19 great grandchildren, Jennifer (Don) Lockwood, Ashley Sanders, Gregory Sanders II, Stephanie Adams, Travis (Breanna) Adams, Kristy Adams, Sarah King, Amanda McElroy, Shawn McElroy, Alex McElroy, David McElroy Jr., Justin McElroy, Joshua McElroy, Megan McElroy, Marcus Black, Courtney Winters, Mark McElroy, Brooke McElroy and Brittany McElroy; a great-great-grandchild, Jordan Lockwood, and a brother, Carl Campbell, of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, William, Bernard, Clyde, Louis, Emment and Terry Campbell; and five sisters, Eva Gant, Ortha Holland, Sylvia Melchers, Theory Campbell and Dorothy Thomas.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard Allison will officiate. Burial will be in Salem-East Cemetery, Westminster.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
