Father Richard Francis Terrill, Age 85 of Newaygo, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 in Newaygo. He was born Richard Francis Terrill in Marcellus, Michigan the son of Charlotte (Robinson) and Elmer Terrill on May 02, 1920. He graduated from Newaygo High School in 1938. Attended St. Mary College, St. Mary, Kentucky and St. Meinrad Seminary in St. Meinrad, Indiana. He was ordained a deacon May 2, 1953 and ordained a priest May 3, 1954 for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. He was assigned to Holy Trinity, St. Christopher, Holy Cross, St. Phillip Neri all in Indianapolis; Our Lady of the Springs, French Lick, Indiana; Our Lord Jesus Christ the King, Paoli, Indiana and St. Nicholas, Ripley County, Indiana. He retired to Newaygo on July 5, 1990 where he continued his ministry. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, the American Guild of Organists and the Newaygo Co. Ministerial Association. He is survived by his sisters Inez & John Eckert of Newaygo; Joyce Anderson of Sparta; Maxine Terrill of Marcellus; his brother Bus Terrill of Clearwater, FL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother & sister in law Donald & Joyce Terrill and his brother in law Robert Anderson.
