The second stone placed later for James Black gives alternate birth and death dates May 20, 1758 - June 24, 1847. Absent more definitive proof, the birth date in the Pension Record and the death date given in the transcription of the Pennsylvania Church and Town Records below were used for this memorial. Please note that this transcription is only off 1 month from the Rev. Pension Record, so supports the accuracy of the pension record more closely than new stone.
