MILROY - Patricia L. Close, 74, 1310 Church Lane, Milroy, died at 4:31 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Lewistown Hospital.
Born Feb. 14, 1930, in Milroy, she was a daughter of the late Russell William and Mary Ethel (Henry) Pecht Sr. Her husband, James W. Close, whom she married on April 19, 1988, survives.
Also surviving are: two children, Mrs. Thomas (Candice June) Wagner, Lewistown, and Ricky James Collins, Milroy; two sisters, Betty Jane Wagner, Erie, and Mrs. Harvey (June) Karschner, Lewistown; two brothers, Russell William Pecht Jr., Lewistown, and Dennis K. Pecht, Cogan Station; four grandchildren, Gregory Wagner, Tami Yeater, Andrew Collins and Sarah Collins; five great-grandchildren, Kyle Yeater, Dustin Yeater, Hunter Wagner, Kayla Hetrick and Samantha Hetrick.
She was preceded in death by: a husband, James Franklin Collins on July 3, 1978.
She was a 1948 graduate of Milroy High School.
She had worked at UniMark Plastics, Milroy, and Arrow Shirt Co., Lewistown.
She was a member of Blue Bird Sunday School Class, Ladies Auxiliary Milroy Fire Co. and St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Milroy.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Bingo player.
Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Milroy, with the Re. Kenneth Longfield officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy.
