Born in April 1909, at Grove City, he was a son of Andrew and Anna Sandrock Stone.
He was married Dec. 26, 1928, to Minnie Atkinson, who survives.
Mr. Stone had lived in Mercer for 32 years and was employed as a foreman at ITT Reznor.
He was a member of the Leesburg United Presbyterian Church, a member and past governor of Mercer Moose Lodge and a life member of the Wilbur Rhodes Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mercer.
He is survived by his widow, a son, Jack Stone, Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Mae) Geiger, Jackson Center, Mrs. Minnie Hayne, Volant RD 2, and Mrs. Warren (Twila) Schreckenghost, Sharon; three brothers, Leroy, Grove City, Walter, Sharon, and John, Mercer, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Leesburg, with the Rev. Vincent Pomeroy, pastor of the Transfer Greencrest Park Community Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial in Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
