Swayzee– Andy, 79, passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Marion General Hospital, after a long illness.

Andy was born to the late Albert and Georgia (Roark) Turner, in Gas City, Indiana.

Andy served in the US Army, and then worked in Marion before going to General Motors in Kokomo where he worked as a machine repairman and retired in 1988. He married Geraldine Jones on October 1, 1955, and she survives. They enjoyed camping with the Maconaquah Camping Club and have been spending their winters in Okeechobee, Florida since 1988. Andy loved fishing, playing cards, and working in his self-constructed barn, working on his old cars and working with wood. Andy loved showing and teaching his kids and grandkids how to fish, work on cars, and build things.

Andy is survived by his wife, Geraldine, of 53 years; children, Pamela Lovings, Chandler, AZ, Andrea (Steve) Weston, Keystone, FL, Robin Turner, Jonesboro, Dawn "Shellie" (Kevin) Buck, Marion; 10 grandchildren, Patrick, Donella, and Andray Lovings, Jerry Thomas "JT", Levi, and Katrina Hutchison, Brian, Jeremy, Adam and Megan Buck; 15 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Helen Jones, Jonesboro; brothers, Paul (Betty) Turner, Gas City, Jack (Meta) Turner, Jonesboro, Richard (Susan) Turner, Marion; sisters, Geraldine Turner and Janie Elliott, both of Okeechobee, FL.

He was preceded in death by his brothers –in-law, Monte Turner and Bill Elliott.

Visitation is from 5-8 pm on Friday, June 19, 2009 at Needham-Storey- Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana.

Funeral Services are at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Needham-Storey- Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana with Pastor Dan Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
