Robert M. Beldin, 86, of Lincoln, died Thursday, October 14, 2010. Mr. Beldin was born October 24, 1923 in Omaha to Sherman and Isabel (Rigby) Beldin. Robert served in the United States Army during WWII and later taught German and English in the Fairbury School District. He also taught industrial arts in Ohiowa, Neb. He was an elder and deacon in his church, served as the Sabbath School Superintendant and was a missionary teacher in Korea.

Robert is survived three sons, Jim (Ellen) Beldin of Wilmington, N.C., Tim (Nancy) Beldin of Wichita, Kan., John (Francie) Beldin of Lincoln; daughter, Cheryl Ragan (Kenneth) of Claremore, Okla.; six grandsons; one granddaughter; eight and a half great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; parents; a son, David Allan; a brother, Clyde Beldin.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010, at the Piedmont Park Seventh Day Adventist Church, Lincoln. Interment will follow at approximately 3 p.m. in the Fairbury Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010, at the church. Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln 68510. The family requests memorials, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to sponsor Mission Trips.
