Mrs. Kate Allen, about 68 years of age, wife of Jesse Allen and mother of Mrs. Kate Rickett, died very suddenly of heart failure Wednesday morning, April 13th. She had been in poor health for some time, though the day preceeding her death she was feeling quite well and in fact prepared breakfast for Mr. Allen yesterday morning. When it was ready, however, she complained of feeling sick and laid down on the sofa to regain her poise. A faint gasp or two was all the warning the death messenger gave and before Mr. Allen could reach the side of his life companion she had expired.
