Calvin Edward Battrick, 40, owner of Cal's Boat Shop, died in a local hospital Tues., following a short illness. Funeral services will be held at Daniel's Funeral Home, Fri. at 2 PM. The Rev. Louis Samson will officiate. Burial will be in the Island City Cemetery. Mr. Battrick was born at Grass Range, MT., May 22, 1919, and had been a resident of La Grande for 14 years. He was a member of the La Grande Area 259, FOE, and VFW. Survivors are the widow, Marjorie Boldt Battrick, La Grande; two sons, William and Danial Battrick, two daughters, Donna Mae Battrick, who lives in Sandy, Oregon, and Sheila Battrick; parents, Carl and Cecelia Battrick Cullen; brother, John E. Battrick; sister, Lillian Goodwin.
