Funeral services for Clarence Long were held Wednesday, December 29 from the First Baptist church in Chandler with the Rev. C. Lynn Hopkins in charge of the services.

Mr. Long was born in Lynn County, Kansas, September 1872 and died December 28, 1948 at his home in Midlothian (south of Chandler, OK). He was seventy six years, two months and twenty-nine days of age at the time of death.

Clarence came to this community in 1892 from the state of Kansas. He married Ina Jane Christy in the year of 1898. To this union six children were born, one daughter, Mary Frances preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, two sons, Claude of Perry, Raymond of Shawnee; and three daughters, Mrs. Ola Streety, Mesa, Arizona, Mrs. Josie Williams and Mrs. Grace Ragsdale of Chandler. Four brothers, Harry, Clint, Earl, and Dell. Twelve grand children, five great grandchildren and other relatives.

Interment was made in the Star Valley cemetery. Sutton-Curry in charge of the proceedings.
