The death of Mrs Sarah Fagan, one of Sidney Center's most highly esteemed residents, occurred last Thursday at the home of her sister, Mrs Ward, at Bennettsville, where she had been spending the past few months.
The cause of death was Bright' s disease from which she had been a sufferer for years.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Bennettsville and Interment was In the Gilbertsville cemetery.
Mrs Fagan, whose maiden name was Sarah Clinton, was born Nov 10, 1840 and spent her earlier years in her native town Gilbertsville. Her first husband was Smith Crawford who died about 20 years ago. A few years later she was united to George Fagan of this village and moved here from Unadilla Center.
She was a devoted member of the Methodist church and her many ?admirable? qualities won her warm friends in this place who mourn her death.
