Julia and Carl were the parents of one child, Charles Truman, who died in infancy. Baby Charles was laid to rest in Belle Plaine Cemetery, Belle Plaine, Kansas according to his obituary, although no headstone has been located.

Carl passed away from 06 Jul 1931 in Harper, Harper County, Kansas at the age of 27 years. He was laid to rest in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington, Sumner, Kansas.
