THOMASVILLE | Jessie Myrtle Hunt Leonard, 94, of Mountain Vista Nursing Center, formerly of Thomasville, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at the nursing center.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at J.C. Green & Sons Chapel by the Rev. Michael Hoffman. Interment will follow in Cid United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Leonard was born Jan. 12, 1908, in Davidson County to Walter Hunt and Lina Cody Hunt. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Mrs. Leonard was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Oscar Leonard, who died in 1968.

Surviving are a son, Colon Leonard of Lexington; four daughters, Doris Hill of Wilmington, Daphene Hunt of Asheboro, Evelyn Briggs of Lexington and Nelva Gallimore of Thomasville; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to the hour of the service at the funeral home.
