Alice was the 5th child of Joseph V. and Edith "Eda" Hall Felkner. On March 31, 1875 she married Josiah Adelbert Andrews in Vinton, Benton County, Iowa. By 1880, they had moved to Guittard, Marshall County, Kansas where Josiah was a farmer. Josiah died in 1896 in Kansas. In the 1900 Census, Alice is living in the home of her sister, Amanda and her brother-in-law, John N. Young in Chanute, Kansas and is listed as an invalid.
