of Brookeville, MD, passed away on October 11, 2010 at the age of 49. He is survived by his wife, Catherine; son, Karl James; sister, Pamela and brothers, Karl and Michael, who live in Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Roberta McDonald. Matt was a wonderful husband, father, and friend who honorably served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Navy never left him. He will be deeply missed. Matt's family will receive friends at the Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Rd., (Rt. 108), Laytonsville, MD on October 18 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be at Barber on October 19 at 11 a.m., with interment at Arlington National Cemetery later in the year.
