Catherine was born November 28, 1938 in Macon, Mississippi to Henrine and Eugene Carr. She departed this life on Sunday, February 21, 2010 in Riverdale, Georgia. Catherine was a graduate of Roosevelt High School 1957. She was a dietary cook for St. Catherine's Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and the Merrillville Convelesant Center in Merrillville, Indiana. Catherine loved children and would always give words of wisdom to those who came to her. She never turned anyone away. She treated all the neighborhood kids as if they were her very own. She was a faithful block club member of 22nd Kentucky and loved to play bingo and the slot machines on the riverboats. Catherine was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Henry and Rebecca Cotton; parents, Henrine Cotton-Wright and Eugene Carr; daughter, LaDonna Albert-Lewis; sister, Annie Bell Wright-Johnson; aunt, Mary Grove-Lee; uncles, Marvin, William, and Johnnie Cotton; special cousin, Johnnie Renee Smith. She leaves to cherish in her loving memory 4 sons, Willie (Juana) Ragulen of Jacksonville, FL, Zachary (Savannah) Albert and Ditanial Albert of Waterloo, IA, James (Robin) Winbush of Gary, IN; 3 daughters, Yolonda (Kenny) Holder of Riverdale, GA, Lawanna Albert and Kathy Winbush of Gary, IN; 4 stepchildren, Betty Jean Walker, Bennie Lee Albert, Tony Albert, Edward Albert; 2 sisters, Eddie Mae Wilson of Waterloo, IA, Belinda (Wesley) Bennett of Merrillville, IN; 4 brothers, Eddie (Pearl) Wright of Merrillville, IN, Dwayne Wright of Waterloo, IA, Kevin (Virginia) Wright of New Philadelphia, OH, Jessie (Cynthia) Wright of Indianapolis, IN; special cousins, Olethea (Cecil) Beatty, Robert Jordan and James Cotton; dear friends, Jan Barnett, Pearl Johnson and Lois Harber; 46 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
