He was a member of the Mineral Area Community Elks Lodge No. 2583.
Preceded in death by parents, Virgil and Janie (Blanton) Forrester; son, Matthew Forrester; brothers, Harold Slade and Cleo Slade.
Survived by: wife, Betty (Walsh) Forrester of Leadwood; sons, Ricky Forrester of Leadwood and Kevin (Connie) Forrester of Bonne Terre; daughter Connie Jones (Randy) of Leadwood; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Hughes of St. Louis.
Visitation, Thursday, August 5, 2010, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Leadwood.
Services will be Friday, August 6, 2010, at 10 a.m. at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Leadwood with Pastor Darrell Jones officiating.
Interment at Leadwood Cemetery.
