Douglas was born on June 12, 1923, in Florence, SC, the son of the late George Washington Langston and Mona Clyde Chason Langston and was married to Margie for 68 years.
He loved Bluegrass and Country music and fishing.
Mr. Langston was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Douglas retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a Loftsman with 29 years service, and was also a WWII Marine Purple Heart Recipient.
He is survived by his wife Margie; a daughter Wendy Gail Barker (Frank) of Mesa, AZ; a son, Douglas A. Langston (Dot), of North Charleston; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother Robert Langston.
Interment: Carolina Memorial Park.
