presumed dau of Amasa Cranston &
Mary (Harthorn) Cranston
who had a daughter Lois born Dec. 19, 1771 who married John Ward. There is no record of Lois' birth in Marlborough, but Amasa and Mary seemed to have lived there all their lives.

Mar 21, 1760 in Colrain; s. of Daniel Ward (1732-1812) and Hannah Harroun who was of Colrain, they m. about 1758 or 9; John d. Sept. 8 or 29, 1846. He m. (1) Feb 24, 1784, Rachel Spinney; (2) Mar. 21, 1792 [sic, MRV reads 1793], Lois Cranston. She d. May 9, 1838, cemetery record. One child with Rachel; eight children with Lois.
