Maurice "Pete" Tucker, 82, passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at a Weatherford nursing home. Service: 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Perrin. Interment: Perrin Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He was born March 22, 1928, in Oran, the son of Marvin C. and Irene Price Tucker. He married Beulah Pelser on Dec. 19, 1952, in Garden City, Kan. He was a longtime resident of Perrin and a member of First Baptist Church of Perrin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea and Japan. He was a Mason, a honored member of the Perrin Domino Club, a past member of the Lions Club and was a member of Two Bush Crime Watch. He drilled water wells in Bolivia for the Protestant and Catholic churches in his spare time. He collected many spears from the jungles, which he showed at many club meetings and to many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and his son, Joe Mark Tucker. Survivors: Wife, Beulah Tucker of Perrin; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Gary Cline of Burnet; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Tucker of Eastland; grandchildren, Bryan Lones of Bryan-College Station and Laura Tucker of Eastland; and sister-in-law, Nadine Tucker of Bridgeport.
