MISS MYRTLE PHIPPS

Miss Myrtle Phipps, 70, of the Kents Ridge Road section of Richlands, died Saturday, Jan 13, in a Richlands hospital after a brief illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Richlands and was a daughter of the late John McClure and Dora Belle Helton Phipps. She had been employed in the home of Dr. E. L. Jackson and W. G. Jackson for the past 40 years. She attended the Layman's Chapel Church in Richlands.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. James M. (Ola) Wilson, Mrs. Sam (Hazel) Brown and Mae Phipps of Richlands; and three brothers, Lee and Robert E. (Bob) Phipps of Richlands and Sylvester McClure Phipps of Palatka, Fla.
Funeral services were conducted Monday at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home with Rev. Bernard Shrader and Rev. Henry Roberts officiating. Burial followed in Hankins Cemetery in Richlands.
Pallbearers: Richard Taylor, Earl Addison, Bobby Addison, Donald Wimmer, Scotty Allison, James Wilson, Bill Wysor, Carlos Hess and David Addison.
