Charles Ashworth
Charles Ashworth, after a lingering illness of several months, died at the family home on the ranch at the mouth of Otter creek Monday afternoon, the cause of death being cancer of the stomach.
Mr. Ashworth was 45 years of age, and was born in Scotland. He came to America 26 years ago and located at Rock Springs, Wyo., where he was married. He came to Montana 20 years ago settling on his ranch above Armington and to the time of his illness followed coal mining and farming and had gained a comfortable share of this world's goods.
He leaves a wife and thirteen children to mourn his loss, the eldest a son of 20 years.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the Catholic church and the attendance was more than usually large, interment being made in Pleasant View cemetery.
Mr. Ashworth was a man of character and held the esteem of a wide circle of friends. The family have the sincerest sympathy of all in their bereavement.
