He was born November 11, 1925 on a farm southeast of Crete in Saline County to Charles and Maggie Kistinger Kubes. He attended School District 88, which was across the road from where he was raised. He married Mildred Lorine Marie Kattau November 22, 1946 at the Methodist Parsonage. They made their home on a farm one mile west and one and a half miles south of the Kramer church.
He served on the board of the Kramer Coop and tended to the family farm throughout his years.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; sister, Mabel Kubes of Crete; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; half brother, Joseph Kubes; and half sister, Elsie Hesh.
Funeral services were September 1 at Kuncl Funeral Home with the Rev. Warren Spellman officiating. Interment was at Kramer Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dennis Mohlman, Marvin Meinke, Milo Kvasnicka, Elmer Kvasnicka, Freddie Weidner, and Melvin Mundt.
