Jessie Hazel Spencer, age 67 of West Liberty, Kentucky passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010, at her home after a brief illness.
She was born August 24, 1943, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Castel Stacy and Eula Mae Crawford Fugate.
She was a member of the Index Community Church at Index, Kentucky and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she loved and enjoyed her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Surviving is her husband, Billie Joe Spencer of West Liberty, Ky., and her mother, Lillie Mae Pelfrey of West Liberty, Ky., one Son, Terry and Kelli Spencer of West Liberty, Ky., two daughters, Gemelia and John Fuller of West Liberty, Ky., and Michelle Spencer of West Liberty, Ky., five brothers, Eugene and Ruth Crawford of Midkiff, WV., Jerry and Martha Stacy of West Liberty, Ky., J.C. and Charlotte Stacy of West Liberty, Ky., Bobby and Janetta Stacy of Mt. Sterling, Ky., and Bobby and Tabithia Crawford of Ohio, seven sisters, Rosa Stacy of West Liberty, Ky., Shirley and Gary Evans of West Liberty, Ky., Connie and Tommy Dillon of Prestonsburg, Ky., Patricia and Mike Lewis of West Liberty, Ky., Maggie and Charles Tharp of West Liberty, Ky., Georgia and Tom Ross of Hazard, Ky., and Ellen and Emroy Westfield of Hazard, Ky., seven grandchildren, Theresia Spencer, Charlotte Spencer, Eddie Ellison, Michael Spencer, Jessica Ellison, Cheyanne Wright, Tray Wright, one great-grandson, Brayden Birchfield and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services after 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 24, 2010, at Index Community Church, Index, Ky., with Rev. Mike Frisby officiating. Burial in the Stacy Family Cemetery of West Liberty, Kentucky.
Visitation 6 p.m. Saturday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, Ky.
