Harold B. Pflaum, 63, of San Jose, Calif., formerly of Noble, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Los Gatos Community Hospital, Los Gatos, Calif.

He was born in Noble Sept. 28, 1910.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne; a son, Bernard Pflaum of San Jose, Calif.; two grandchildren; a, sister, Mrs. T. A. (Betty) Winterbottom of Dayton, Ohio.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Mesa, Ariz.

Services will be Monday at the Noble Chapel of the Cardascio- Easley Funeral Home, with burial in Noble Cemetery.

Harold Bernard Pflaum was born September 28, 1910 to Charles and Nellie Palmer Pflaum.

After his mother's death in January 19, 1919 he made his home with his grandmother, Mrs. Emma Palmer and his aunt, Mrs. Effie Palmer Burr. He united With the First Methodist Church at an early age.

As a young man he went to Grand Forks, N. Dakota where he met and married Miss Jeanne Milligan on June 12, 1936. To this union was born one son, Bernard, on August 8, 1937.

Harold was employed by the Great Northern Railroad and served as Grievance Chairman. Later he became a building contractor and in 1973 he moved Mesa, Arizona where he was employed by the Baukol Construction Company until he became ill. After a short illness he passed away on July 10, 1974.

He leaves his widow, son and two granddaughters; his sister, Mrs. Betty Winterbottom of Dayton, Ohio and several aunts, uncles and cousins. His wish was to be buried beside his mother in the Noble Cemetery.

Services were held at the Noble Funeral Home with the Reverend Gene Everett, a former schoolmate, officiating. Pallbearers were Donald Mattingly, Thomas Winterbottom, John T. Winterbottom, Clifford, Frank and Raymond Pflaum.
