Inventor of Stenography. At 28, she was working for the Bavarian government, employed as a typist when he began developing a new shorthand writing system. This new system was used quickly once it was published in detail in the textbook Anleitung zur deutschen Redezeichenkunst oder Stenographie (1834). She used a full alphabet and didn’t entirely omit vowels as other English shorthand systems. Signs for each letter were made by simplifying the attributes of cursive Latin letters. Gabelsberger shorthand was very successful in Scandinavia, the Slavic countries and Italy. His method of shorthand was used by many different languages.
