Alman Rowden, 81, of Rte. 3, Dixon, died Saturday, May 7, 1988 at ST. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. He was born May 13, 1906 in Maries County to William E. and Alpha Berry Rowden. On Jan 30, 1926 he was married to Mabel Curtman, who died March 17, 1951. He later was married to Anna Pendleton and Mickey Anderson, who both preceded him in death. On July 19, 1969 he was married to Sadie Hollis Robertson, who survives at the home.
Mr. Rowden was a farmer and a member of the Smyrna Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife he is survived by here sons, William C. Rowden and Donald E. Rowden, both of Dixon, and Jerry Rowden of Troy, Ill.; five daughters, Eula Rotter of Reno, Nev., Beulah Humphrey of Maryland Heights, Lillie Barton of Santa Rosa, Calif., Virginia Carroll of Vienna and Helen Riemensnider of Iberia; a step-daughter, Beth Sinden of Dixon; a brother, Ralph Rowden of Rolla; a sister, Agnes Justison of Kirkwood, 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-grat-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home with Bro. Luther Martin officiating. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery.
