He was born September 15, 1942 at Long Creek Community at Grubbs, the son of Aaron E. and Mildred Mabel (London) Hurst.
Mr. Hurst was a self-employed mechanic, and was of the Baptist belief. He enjoyed hunting, and loved to boat ride.
Mr. Hurst was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Hurst; three sisters, Geraldine Hurst, Alice Hurst, and Lawanda Hurst; and his parents.
He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Longmire and husband James of Horn Lake, Mississippi, and Erin Sziklai and husband Russell Townsley of Horn Lake, Mississippi; two brothers, David Hurst and wife Brenda of Grubbs and Glen Hurst and wife Brinda of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, John Rowland, Matt Sziklai, Joel Sziklai, Hailee Sziklai, Marisa Longmire, and Kelsey Longmire; two great-grand-children, Jaymi Moulding and Jaylen Bernard; and two nephews, Brian and Brandon Hurst.
Funeral services were held at Clark Cemetery at Uno.
