Harry M. Gard, 76, of 846 S. Mission, long time Wenatchee resident, died Thursday morning in a local hospital.
Mr. Gard was born in Yakima on March 29, 1897, and served in the United States Army during World War I. After the war he returned to Wenatchee where he was an orchardist. Mr. Gard had also been self-employed as a carpenter. In most recent years, following his retirement, he had made his home for short periods of time in Yakima and Portland, Ore.
Mr. Gard attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Betty Whitaker, East Wenatchee; four sisters, Inez Castle, Irene Edwards and Elsie Lodge, all of Yakima and Leota Burgess, Eugene, Ore.; two brothers, Ray Gard, Wenatchee, and Lloyd Gard, San Francisco, Calif.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Gard was preceded in death by two sisters.
