Elda Rose Thurman, 90, died Apr. 7, 1997 in Tooele, UT. She was born Sept 5, 1906 in Grover to Clarence Joshua and Rose Ellen Dutson Hepworth.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Apr 11, 1997, at 1 p.m. in Grover LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary in Tooele on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday at 12 noon at the church. Interment in the Grover City Cemetery.
She married Ray S. Thurman June 20, 1941 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died Aug 23, 1968. She was raised and educated in Grover. She served a mission to the New England States and held many positions in the LDS Church. She was a scribe for many years for her husband when he served as a patriarch.
She is survived by a son Douglas H. Thurman, Annabella, UT; three daughters, LuVilla Barber of Ophir, Rose Wilkes, Tooele, VerNene New, West Valley City; 25 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren, two brothers, Marvin and Lael Hepworth; three sisters, Wanda McCombs, Della Thurman, Zella Hunsaker, five stepchildren.
Precece in death by six stepchildren and one granddaughter.
