Mark Rasband Cram, age 82, passed from this life to the next on November 17, 2003 of natural causes at his home in Riverton, Utah.

He was born on May 22, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Victor Dee Cram and Emily Isabella Rasband Cram. He attended Granite High School and the University of Utah where he excelled in athletics and student leadership.

He served a mission in the California-Arizona Mission from 1941 to 1943. He married Melba Marie Nielson on July 20, 1943 in the Logan Utah Temple. He served in the United States Air Force from September 1943 to March 1946. He has been a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout his life. He has served as Scoutmaster, High Councilor, Temple Supervisor, Bishop's Counselor and twice as Bishop, first from 1951 to 1956 in the Southgate Ward, and again from 1957 to 1964 in the Butler Third Ward.

His hobbies have included fishing, hunting, camping, boating, waterskiing, traveling, singing, reading, racquetball, softball, yard work and enjoying all of those activities with his family. He was an avid BYU fan. He was employed in sales for 55 years and won several prestigious sales awards throughout his career.

He is survived by his wife Melba Marie Nielson Cram, daughters Constance Goeckeritz (Klaus), Vicki Cram, Janene Ihler (Greg), sons Mark N. Cram (Robyn), Reid N. Cram (Tina), Kent N. Cram (Tammy), sisters Lorna McFarland (Paul), Rea Steffensen (Wesley), Sara Post (William), and brother Joy Cram (Gertrude). He has 29 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lois, and brothers Victor, Heber, Ray and Dale.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20, 2003, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be Friday, November 21st at 12:00 noon at the Riverton Summerhill Stake Center, 12120 S. 1300 W. Riverton, where friends may call one hour prior to services.

Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn South Valley Cemetery, 13001 S. 3600 W.
