- Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Donna Mae Finney Bergstrom, returned to the arms of her Heavenly Father on September 19, 2003.
Donna was born Jan 28, 1928 to Charles Raymond Finney and Hazel Lamar Finney, Chicago, IL, the third of seven children. She was married to Glenn Harold Bergstrom on Nov 10, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA and sealed to her sweetheart of 57 years in the Salt Lake Temple on Nov 10, 1947.
Donna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings throughout her life. She loved missionary work, and served a mission with her best friend and husband, Glenn, in the Kentucky, Louisville Mission, 1987-1989. Donna had a tremendous love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved her family and spent many hours researching her genealogy and crocheting afghans for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn; her children, Michael (Carolyn) West Jordan, UT, Debra (Jeff) Las Vegas, NV, Russell (Lorie) Murray, UT, Robert (Cherie), Riverton, UT, Charles (Dani) South Jordan, UT; brother, Robert; sisters, Jackie, Alyce, June, all in California; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews as well as many others who called and loved her like their own "Mom." She was preceded in death by two children, daughter, Diana, son, Richard; parents; brother, Tommy; and sister, Cherie.
Services will be Wed. 11 a.m. at The Cross Country 6th Ward, 11800 S. 2812 W. Friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 S. 2200 W, and Wed. one hour prior at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family have requested donations to the LDS Missionary Fund. Interment, Wasatch Lawn, Riverton.
