Steel Official Dies of Crash Hurts

Fontana, Calif., March 1 (AP) Peer Neilsen, vice president of Kaiser Steel company, and until last October general superintendent of the Geneva steel plant at Geneva, Utah, died in a hospital last night of injuries received in a highway accident Sunday.

Nielsen, 42, was believed only slightly hurt after the crash between his car and an interurban bus, but complications developed. Specialists who were flown here from San Francisco to attend him said death was due to internal injuries.

Nielsen was associated with the Geneva plant from October 1943 to October 1945.

Prior to that he had held various positions with U. S. Steel and at one time had been general superintendent of the National Tube company plant at Lorain, O. He was a graduate of Lehigh university.
